NIGHT CONVENIENCE
Possible video trigger warning: flashing / flickering lights
Night Convenience (2024) is an interactive 3D game experience, made in Unity.
Players assume the role of a bored retail worker, stuck on the night shift at an empty convenience store, in an almost dreamlike (or nightmarish) state. However, the player seems to be stuck in an endless loop, unable to escape their retail duties.
For this project, I focused on designing detailed, eye-catching textures for the packaging of fictional snack products, to be displayed in the virtual convenience store.
Overall, I aimed to create a toon-shaded environment, with visual impact. As part of this, I incorporated thick outlines into my models and designed colourful custom lighting, to make the visuals 'pop'.

This environment was designed to entice players to explore and seek a way out, while drawing attention to points of interest.
Texture graphics for product packages were designed to mimic package branding used in reality, and create a visual impact.
